The Institute
1. Army Institute of Higher Education (AIHE) Pathankot was established in August 2005 under the aegis of Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), with the aim of providing pre-service teachers education to the children/dependents of Army personnel including widows(Army). AIHE is affiliated to Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Jaipur for its Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme.
2. AIHE is located on Jammu - Jalandhar Bye - Pass road Near Nalwa Bridge, village Dheera, Pathankot. The Institute is situated about 2 Kms from Chakki Bank Railway Station and 4 Kms from Pathankot Railway Station/ Bus Stand/ main city.
3. The campus is spread over nearly 10 acres of land in a prime location of the Pathankot Military Station. AIHE provides an ideal environment to its students for pursuing their studies in education. The green trees and the peaceful surroundings enhance the quest for excellence as one works in harmony with nature. In all intents and purpose, AIHE cradles a genuine concern for the pursuit of human enquiry and for the perpetuation of knowledge in an environment conducive to an inspiring teacher education programme.
