Eligibility Criteria

1 The admission for the B.Ed. course at AIHE is exclusively open for the wards/ dependents of serving/ retired Army personnel including widows/ war widows (Army). The wards/ dependents of the following category of Army personnel are eligible:-
 

(a)        Children serving (10 years continuous service in the Army)/ Retired Army Personnel.

   
  (b)        Army personnel killed in action or those who died during their service or disabled in action in Army.
   

 

  (c)        AMC/ADC officers presently serving with Navy/ Air Force who have served in the Army for more than 10 years and who are members of AOBF.
     
 

(d)        MNS officers who have served Army for a minimum 10 years as regular MNS; APS personnel who are on deputation and have put in more than 10 years of service in Army or who have been directly recruited/ commissioned in APS and have retired after completing their minimum service qualifying for pension; TA personnel who have completed 10 years of embodied service.

     
  (e)        Adopted wards of Army personnel provided they have been adopted atleast five years before admission.
     

(f)        Dependent sons/daughters of war widows/ wards of war widows of Army personnel who were born of their mother's first marriage and their mother has later re-married a civilian.

   
  (g)      Step children of Army personnel who were born out of the wedlock where atleast one parent belonged to Army.
   
  Note:- For the purpose of their admission to the B.Ed. course the sons/daughters of serving/ retired Army personnel are considered dependent till their marriage or employment whichever is earlier.

 Eligibility  Conditions

2 All candidates must satisfy the eligible criteria given below:-
   
  (a)      Mandatory Requirement :- The applicant must fall in any of the category listed at above paragraph.  Widows/dependants of disabled personnel should be in receipt of regular/liberalized medical pension for being considered eligible. 
   
  (b)      Educational Qualifications*: -
    (i)         A graduation degree under (10+2+3) system or graduation degree under old (14 years) system before 1991 with not less than 50%  marks in the aggregate of degree examination.
   

OR

    (ii)        MA/MSc/MCom/MSc (Hons. School) degree of a recognized University with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.
   

OR

   

(iii)       Diploma in Rural Service (3 year course) under (10+2+3) system awarded by the National Council for Rural Higher Education, Ministry of Education, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.

   

OR

    (iv)       Any other qualification recognized as equivalent to any of (i), (ii) and (iii) above.
   

Note:- Graduates through Gianni/ Prabhakar shall not be eligible.

   
  (c)        Age Limit: -    There is no upper age limit for B.Ed College course.
  Note: -  The eligibility conditions may change subject to the decision of the affiliating university.

It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that he / she possesses the requisite academic qualifications for the course and is eligible in all other respects as per the eligibility  conditions specified above. The  fact  that a  candidate  has been permitted to appear in CWAT does not imply that his / her eligibility has been verified and accepted. The eligibility of the candidates will be verified by AIHE at the time of admission to the course as also later during the scrutiny of papers by the university. In case of any change in the eligibility conditions made by the university for the session at a later stage the eligibility will be verified with reference to the university’s eligibility conditions prescribed at the time of candidate's admission to the  B. Ed. course.  If a candidate is found to be ineligible at any stage during the entire process, the college reserves the right to cancel his/ her candidature / admission to the course.
